Kenneth Lester hat in den Ruinen der alten Megarakultur ein Artefakt entdeckt. Er wird jedoch kurz danach niedergeschlagen und eingesperrt. Da er Ken Scott ebenfalls verdächtig erscheint, begeben sich Captain Future und Grag auf die Suche nach ihm und können ihn schließlich befreien. Damit ist klar, dass er nicht der Herrscher von Megara sein kann.

Es stellt sich heraus, dass es sich bei Lesters Entdeckung um einen Dematerialisator handelt. Also um das gleiche Gerät, welches der Herrscher an seinem Gürtel trägt, um sich unverwundbar zu machen.
