Die kecke Midori ist eindeutig die Lebhaftere der beiden Amane-Schwestern und auch diejenige, die Reiji bei seiner Rückkehr geradezu überfallartig begrüßt, während ihre Schwester Shiori das eher lakonisch zur Kenntnis nimmt. Midori neckt ihren alten Kindheitsfreund Reiji gerne und zeigt in seiner Gegenwart generell einen Hang zur Verspieltheit, der schnell in Schlüpfrigkeiten umschlägt. Nur zu gerne erinnert sie ihn an das Versprechen, das sie sich als Kinder gaben, dass sie später heiraten würden. Hinter ihrem lockeren Geplauder verbirgt sie aber eine gewisse Unsicherheit, da sie sich seiner Gefühle nicht ganz sicher ist und als sie ihn dann Arm in Arm mit Shiho sieht, zeigt sich deutlich, dass sie innerlich hin und her gerissen ist und das nicht immer so fröhlich überspielen kann, wie sie es meistens tut.
