Cecil und der von ihm angeführten Vierten Kompanie gelang es, den Sieg gegen das Königreiche Lindegard für die Armee von Keltula zu erringen. Wo militärische Stärke alleine nicht ausgereicht hätte, war Cecil durch eine Intrige erfolgreich, mit der Lindegard ihren engen Verbündeten Elfinrine verlor, der nun auf Keltulas Seite steht. Cecil ist in dieser Hinsicht nicht nur ein listiger Taktiker, sondern auch absolut skrupellos. Für seine Gefangenen hält er schreckliche Schicksale bereit – ihnen einen ehrenvollen Tod zu gewähren liegt ihm dagegen fern, stattdessen degradiert er sie zu Objekten, die von seinen Leuten noch schlimmer behandelt werden als Sklaven. Zu seinen Methoden zählen Zaubersprüche, die so heimtückische Effekte haben, dass sie wahrscheinlich nur seiner eigenen kranken Fantasie entsprungen sein können.
