Matsumoto zählt zu den Typen, die nie groß auffallen, ein praktisch Unsichtbarer für seine Mitschüler, weil es nichts gibt, was ihn besonders auszeichnet. Wie so viele an seiner Schule schwärmt er für Jun Kudo, doch während sich andere darauf beschränken, sie anzuhimmeln, setzt Matsumoto seine Begierde in die Tat um und entführt das Mädchen. Aus seiner Sicht tut er das, um sie vor den anderen zu beschützen, da er der einzige ist, der sie wirklich liebt.
