Zur aktiven Zeit von Hijiri und Jin war Rei die dritte Größe unter den männlichen Prism Stars. Als sich im Vorfeld des Prism King-Turniers Hijiri schwer verletzte, sagte Rei seine Teilnahme ab, weil er ihn als einzigen würdigen Rivalen betrachtete. Infolgedessen wurde Jin kampflos zum Prism King gekrönt. Rei ist Kazukis großes Vorbild, weil er Freiheit und Unabhängigkeit verkörpert und seinen Street Style ungeachtet der Missachtung durch die Wertungsrichter konsequent beibehalten hat.
