Mayu ist meistens bei bester Laune und betrachtet ihr Team - das sich für die Wartung von Izurus Red 5 verantwortlich zeichnet - wie ihre Familie. So sieht sie Degawa als eine Art Vater für sie und Dan als ihren älteren Bruder. Natürlich baut sie auch sogleich eine familiäre Bindung zu Izuru auf, den sie infolge meistens mit irgendwelchen Kosenamen anspricht, wie etwa Ic-can. Zudem verteidigt sie ihn gegen Kritik von anderen oder baut ihn mal auf, sollte er doch mal niedergeschlagen sein.
