Seijis kleine Schwester Mao ist ein quicklebendiger, kleiner Sonnenschein und kennt Megumi als ihre langjährige Nachbarin natürlich ebenfalls sehr gut. Mao trägt oft einen Sonnenhut mit pinkfarbener Schleife, den ihr ihre Mutter geschenkt hat und den sie sehr mag – genau dieser Hut wird von Namakeruda dazu benutzt, Maos Glücksgefühle dafür zu stehlen und einen Saiark daraus zu erschaffen. Cure Lovely und Cure Princess gelingt es aber, das Monster zu besiegen und Mao zu befreien.

Mao ist übrigens ein riesiger Fan von Miyo Masuko und ihrer Sendung „Precure Weekly“. Sie fiebert jeder neuen Ausgabe mit Spannung entgegen, weil die Pretty Cures für sie Heldinnen sind, die sie sehr bewundert.
