Als begeisterte Spielerin eines Online-Panzerspiels kann Piyotan natürlich nicht ablehnen, als ihre Freundin Nekonyaa sie fragt, ob sie nicht Lust hätte, in einem echten Panzer in echte Kämpfe zu ziehen. So wird sie zur Schützin des Type 3 Chi-Nu, eine Rolle, auf die sie sich kaum vorbereiten kann, da das erste Gefecht schon vor der Tür steht. Allerdings bekommt sie dort keine Chance zu zeigen, ob das Training etwas genutzt hat, denn schon kurz nach dem Beginn der Schlacht wird ihr Panzer getroffen und außer Gefecht gesetzt.
