In Yamato schlummert ein Dämon, der seit seiner Kindheit immer wieder temporär versiegelt und damit daran gehindert wurde, die Kontrolle über ihn zu übernehmen. Dadurch konnte sein dämonischer Teil aber auch wachsen und an Kraft gewinnen, so dass eines Tages kein Siegel mehr stark genug ist, um ihn zu halten. Die letzte Hoffnung ruht auf der großen spirituellen Energie der Hamikos (die Nachkommen einer Menschenfrau mit hoher spiritueller Kraft und eines Dämons), die allein noch stark genug wären, um den Dämon in Yamato für immer zu bannen. Der Dämon hat indes nicht vor, ruhig abzuwarten bis die Vorbereitungen zu seiner Versiegelung abgeschlossen sind, sondern täuscht vor, dass der auf ihm liegende Bannzauber noch wirksam wäre, um dann im entscheidenden Moment überraschend aktiv zu werden.
