Michio ist der Sohn von Obaba, der Peco in seine Obhut nimmt, nachdem er den Auftrag von seiner Mutter erhält, ihn ein wenig zu schulen. Er ist ein sehr guter Trainer, der die Stärken eines Spielers erkennt und dann alles unternimmt, um den Spieler zu fördern. Gezielt lässt er den Spieler dann seine Stärken weiter ausbauen, während er gleichzeitig versucht, an den Schwächen zu arbeiten. Das ist auch der, weswegen er Trainer des japanischen National Trainingscenters ist.
