Durch Zufall trifft Takuma Kurebayashi auf die junge Frau Seri Mizutani und findet sie auf Anhieb sympathisch. Sie ist eine sehr unkomplizierte Frau, die sich gerade auf der Durchreise befindet, gerne aber das Angebot von Takuma annimmt, für eine Weile in seinem Haus zu verweilen. Schnell freunden sich beide an und Takuma fühlt sich nach all den schrecklichen Ereignissen in letzter Zeit endlich wieder geborgen und glücklich. Takuma möchte deshalb, dass sie bei ihm bleibt, zumal er sich auch ein wenig in sie verliebt hat. Allerdings hat Seri ganz andere Pläne, denn ihre frühere Heimatstadt hat sie nicht ganz ohne Grund besucht, und dabei geht es vor allem um Geld.
