Herr Iwatsume steckt in einer absoluten Misere. Ihm als Juwelenhändler ist ein äußerst hochwertiges Juwel im Wert von 100 Millionen Yen gestohlen worden. Obendrein war das gute Stück schon an einen Kunden verkauft, ein absoluter Spitzenhandel steht somit kurz vorm Platzen. In seiner Verzweiflung geht Herr Iwatsume auf die Erpressung des Diebes ein, der zehn Millionen Yen für die Herausgabe des Edelsteins fordert. Nur leider ist er somit nicht nur Opfer eines Diebstahl und einer Erpressung geworden, sondern auch das Opfer eines Betrugs: der Erpresser hat ihn nämlich mit einer Fälschung abgespeist.
