Doshi ist der Titel des höchsten Priester des Tempel eines kleinen Dorfes. Der Mann, der dahinter steckt ist rätselhaft, geheimnisvoll und mysteriös und seine Herkunft ist unbekannt. Er tauchte plötzlich vor einem halben Jahr im Dorf auf, quartierte sich im Tempel ein und löste den bis dahin höchsten Priester, Bozu, von seinem Posten ab.
Die meiste Zeit über verbirgt er sich im Tempel und hält sich von Gesellschaften fern. Tritt er doch einmal unter die Leute, ist er immer schweigsam und trägt einen finsteren Gesichtsausdruck zur Schau.
