Emi Igawa ist Pianistin und Kouseis sowie Takeshis Konkurrentin.

Durch ihr cooles und erwachsenes Auftreten, scheint sie eine emotionslose Person zu sein, allerdings hat sie ein feuriges Temperament und ist besonders beim Klavierspielen sehr gefühlvoll.

Als Emi noch ein kleines Mädchen war, hatte sie wenig Interesse an der Musik, unter anderem auch am Klavierspielen. Dies änderte sich jedoch, als sie dem jungen Kousei beim Klavierspielen zugesehen hat, welcher sie mit seiner Musik so sehr berührt hat, dass sie sich dazu entschied, selbst mit dem Klavierspielen anzufangen.
