Das vermeintliche Artefakt, das Wallens den Kindern des Rato-Clans abluchsen konnte, entpuppt sich als Ei, aus dem kurze Zeit später dieses kleine drachenähnliche Geschöpf schlüpft. Es entwickelt sofort eine Zuneigung zu Mikoto, wohingegen es gegenüber Pan und Pollon gereizt reagiert. Letzterer bekommt zudem zu spüren, dass die Verdauungsgase des Kleinen ebenso kochend heiß wie bestialisch stinkend sind. Da er Laute von sich gibt, die sich wie „Pe – fu“ anhören, wird er fortan von der Gruppe auch so genannt.
