Karen ist ein sehr lebensfrohes Mädchen, das auch prompt das sagt, was ihm gerade in den Sinn kommt. Sie ist von britischer sowie japanischer Herkunft und freundete sich schon in England mit Alice an. Gleich nachdem sie nach Japan zog, schrieb sie sich in Shinobus Schule ein und fand in der Klasse sofort Anschluss.

Sie ist in der Regel eine sehr lustige und energische Person, die sich nicht scheut, ihre Gefühle offen zur Schau zu stellen. Obwohl sie sehr viel isst, nimmt sie nicht zu, was ihre Freundinnen als ein Mysterium sehen. Das Wort „AyaAya“ bekommt man sehr oft von ihr zu hören, da sie ihre Freundin Aya so nennt und sehr schnell gefallen an diesem Spitznamen gefunden hat, der wegen eines Missverständnisses während ihres ersten Treffens entstand.
