Hasegawa ist eine gut aussehende Lehrerin an Basaras Schule. Sie scheint Basara sehr gern zu haben und treibt ihm durch ihre plötzlichen Annäherungsversuche auch mal die Schamröte ins Gesicht. Zwischendurch gibt sie Basara auch immer wieder wichtige Ratschläge mit auf den Weg. Ihr ganzes Auftreten hat etwas mysteriöses an sich, was sich dadurch verstärkt, dass in ihrem Gesicht fast nie eine Emotion zu sehen ist.

Der anfängliche Grund für ihr Interesse an Basara ist nicht bekannt, aber es scheint um seine Mutter zu gehen. Sie entwickelte jedoch sehr schnell tiefere Gefühle für ihn.

Im Verlauf der Serie erfährt man, dass sie eine sehr mächtige Göttin ist, die den Himmel jedoch verlassen hat, um in Basaras Nähe zu sein. Ihre Kräfte wurden deshalb allerdings größtenteils versiegelt. Falls sie jedoch ihre Kräfte nutzt, um Basara zu beschützen, wird das Siegel, das ihre Kräfte bindet, vorübergehend gelöst.
