Nichrom ist einer der 10 Priester des Patchee-Indianerstammes, die als Veranstalter, Organisatoren und Schiedsrichter im Shaman King-Turnier fungieren.

Nichroms älterer Bruder wurde von Tao Ren getötet, wodurch er zum Priester des Patchee-Stammes aufstieg. Selbstverständlich dürstet er nach Rache für seinen Bruder und sieht im Shaman King-Turnier seine Gelegenheit darin. So schließt er sich Hao Asakura an und stellt sich gegen Yoh und seine Gefährten.

Als Medium für seinen Schutzgeist Yellow Whip (einen Skorpion) nutzt er sein Armband. Im Oversoul-Zustand erzeugt Yellow Whip einen Skorpionschwanz an Nichroms Handgelenk, der wie eine Peitsche eingesetzt werden kann.
