Riko ist Zweitklässlerin an der Oberschule und spielt im Schulorchester Tuba. Sie ist so etwas wie die gute Seele in der Bass-Sektion und mit Takuya zusammen, der ebenfalls Tuba spielt. Obwohl längst alle wissen, dass die beiden miteinander gehen, versucht Riko während der Übungseinheiten so zu tun, als wäre dem nicht so, bis Azusa sie irgendwann darüber aufklärt, dass ihre Heimlichtuerei zwecklos ist.
