Mao ist die neue Kellnerin in Namis Restaurant. Wegen ihrer ruhigen, freundlichen Art ist sie sehr beliebt. Boss Luffy weiß vor allem ihre Großzügigkeit und die extra großen Portionen zu schätzen, die sie ihm serviert. Ihrer Chefin schmeckt dies jedoch überhaupt nicht, da Luffy ständig pleite ist.

Als es darum geht, das nur alle 100 Jahre stattfindende Mikoshi-Rennen gegen die zwielichtige Thriller Company zu bestreiten, leistet sie ebenfalls tatkräftige Unterstützung.
