Dr. Gibbo, ein Wissenschaftler vom Planeten Kent, befasst sich mit Verjüngungsmethoden und versucht deshalb, die Quelle des ewigen Frühlings zu finden. Auf der Suche nach Hinweisen hat er zunächst die Maschinenstadt auf dem Planeten Keros aufgesucht und ist danach auf den Planeten Iso gekommen.

Um seine wahren Absichten zu verschleiern, täuscht er vor aller Augen seine Ermordung mittels einer Eisgiftinjektion vor. Das Gift stammt von einer Seeschlangenart aus dem Eismeer des Planeten Baimu. Der Körper des Opfers stirbt innerhalb von Sekunden ab und erstarrt zu Eis.
