Takuya ist Zweitklässler an der Oberschule und spielt im Schulorchester Tuba. Bei der Vorstellung der Instrumente für die neuen Clubmitglieder des Schulorchesters kommt Takuyo ziemlich lustlos rüber, da er sich auf wenige Worte beschränkt: „Dies ist die Tuba. Sie gehört zur tiefen Tonlage. Und sie ist ziemlich schwer.“ Kein Wunder, dass das Publikum nicht in Begeisterungsstürme ausbricht, so dass Asuka schnell für ihn übernehmen will, um mehr Werbung für ihre Sektion zu machen.

Gotou mag recht schweigsam sein, liebt sein Instrument aber sehr. Er spielt seit dem ersten Jahr der Mittelschule Tuba und hat für die Musik sogar die Leichtathletik aufgegeben, obwohl er darin recht gut war.
