Ryouko Sakaki ist eine Schülerin der 92. Schüler-Generation an der Kochschule Teehaus Toutsuki und Bewohnerin des Polarstern Wohnheims.

Die rothaarige Schülerin ist eine ruhige und angenehme Persönlichkeit. Sie hilft ihren Freunden im Polarstern gerne aus, sollten diese einmal Probleme haben oder einen Rat brauchen, und wird daher als »große Schwester« des Wohnheims bezeichnet.

Ryoukos Kochstil ist durch Kouji – verschiedene Arten von Schimmelpilzen – geprägt. Dabei benutzt sie in ihren Rezepten oft einen speziell fermentierten Reis, der als Basis für viele traditionell japanische Rezepte gilt – unter anderem auch Sake und Miso-Suppe.
