Kino Asakura ist die Ehefrau von Yohmei und damit die Großmutter von Yoh. Sie scheint große charakterliche Ähnlichkeit mit Anna Kyouyama zu haben, ist dementsprechend leicht reizbar und ziemlich jähzornig. Darüberhinaus ist Kino blind, weswegen sie immer eine abgedunkelte Brille trägt. Ihr Augenlicht verlor sie angeblich im zweiten Weltkrieg.
