Yumika ist Mitglied des Bogenschützenclubs an ihrer Schule und beherrscht diesen Sport wie niemand anderes. Ihre Treffsicherheit mit dem Bogen konnte sie schon in zahlreichen Trainingsstunden unter Beweis stellen und wird daher von älteren und jüngeren Mitschülern verehrt. Es ist deshalb nicht verwunderlich, dass sie die Position des Kapitäns in diesem Club inne hat und dort auch das Training der anderen Clubmitglieder leitet. Dabei legt sie aber einen harschen Befehlston an den Tag, sodass man denken könnte, Yumika wäre ein knallharter Anführer.
Aber sie hat auch eine andere Seite, die sie nicht gerne in der Öffentlichkeit zeigt. Yumika wird sehr schnell eifersüchtig, vor allem dann, wenn ihr Freund Kohinata, welcher auch ein Mitglied im Bogenschützenclub ist, mit anderen Mädchen zusammen ist.
Durch dieses Gefühl kann sie sich nicht mehr auf die wichtigen Dinge konzentrieren, aber eines Nachmittages kommt ihr Freund unerwarteterweise im Clubheim vorbei um die gegenwärtige Situation klarzustellen. Da Yumika die Situation völlig falsch eingeschätzt hat und sie Kohinata hingebungsvoll liebt, hat sie anschließend auch keine Einwände gegen eine andere körperliche Betätigung als mit Pfeil und Bogen zu trainieren.
