Asukas erster Tag an der neuen Schule beschert ihr direkt eine neue beste Freundin, und zwar Aya, die sich am selben Tag wie sie an dieser Schule als Austauschschülerin vorstellt. Auf den ersten Blick scheinen die beiden jedoch wie Feuer und Wasser zu sein, wenn man die hyperaktive Aya mit der bedächtigen Asuka vergleicht, aber Asuka kann unter der ruhigen Fassade auch ein ganz schönes Schlitzohr sein. So ärgert sie Aya gerne ein bisschen auf spielerische Weise, was zum Beispiel mit Anspielungen auf Ayas (nicht vorhandene) Oberweite ganz gut funktioniert, obwohl es bei Asuka kaum anders aussieht.
