Kan’ichi KONISHI ist ein Schüler der 92. Schüler-Generation an der Kochschule Teehaus Toutsuki. Er ist der Präsident der »Donburi Research Society«, der zwar ein wenig inkompetent zu sein scheint, aber dafür eine charismatische Persönlichkeit hat.

Ihm fehlt auch die Mut, »höheren« Persönlichkeiten wie Erina Nikiri herauszufordern, und lässt sich von vielen leidenschaftlicheren Schülern einschüchtern – wie zum Beispiel von Ikumi Mito. Auch wenn er sehr deprimiert wirkt, hat er eine große Leidenschaft für Donburi und zeigt sofort Interesse, wenn er das Wort »Donburi« hört.

Dadurch ist sein Kochstil auf Donburi-Gerichte spezialisiert. Er hat das beste Wissen darüber, da er ein Tagebuch führt, das voll mit eigenen Donburi-Ideen ist. Er konnte damit sogar Souma Yukihira beeindrucken.
