Schon als Kind hatte es Takeo nicht immer leicht. Zwar war er bei seinen Freunden relativ beliebt, aber bei den Mädchen hatte er immer Pech und das obwohl er schon recht früh in viele Mädchen verliebt war. Doch leider traute er sich nie wirklich, diese Mädchen auch anzusprechen, im Gegenteil, sie machten alle einen großen Bogen um Takeo und machten sich an seinen besten Freund Makoto ran, der aber brachte jedes Mädchen zum Weinen. Nichtsdestotrotz konnte Takeo Makoto dies nie wirklich verübeln und beide gehen bis heute gemeinsam durch Dick und Dünn.
