Irene ist eine gute Freundin von Linna. Sie lernten sich bei einem von Linnas Aerobik-Kursen kennen. Ihr Verlobter arbeitete für Genom an einem geheimen aber auch illegalen Projekt. Um diese Aktion zu vertuschen, wird ein Unfall inszeniert, bei dem das Labor zerstört wird und Irenes Verlobter zu Tode kommt. Irene glaubt nicht an einen Unfall und beschuldigt Genom des Mordes. Sie versucht alles, um zu beweisen, dass es kein Unfall war und möchte dies auch an die Öffentlichkeit bringen.
