Ranko ist Mitglied der Shin Takarazuka Academy, dem letztjährigen Gewinner des Cosplay-Turnieres. Sie ist stark eingebildet und ziemlich hochnäsig, Ranko hält sich für eine Meisterin des Cosplay und für die anderen hat sie teilweise nur Verachtung übrig. Bewunderung bekommt sie dabei ausgerechnet auch von Chako Hasegawa, obwohl beide sich um die Gunst von Kousuke Tamiya streiten, wodurch letztlich ein Cosplay-Wettkampf entfacht wird.
