Aurica lebt im Dorf Skuwat und ist eine Reyvateil, eine Art Zauberin, die ihre Magie mit Gesang freisetzt. Doch ist sie völlig untalentiert und der Gesang möchte einfach bei ihr nicht funktionieren. Aufgrund dessen kommt sie sich minderwertig im Vergleich zu den anderen vor und ist meistens sehr niedergeschlagen und deprimiert. Als sie Zeuge wird wie zufällig das Flugschiff von Lyner Barsett in der Nähe abstürzt, erlebt sie mit diesem ein Abenteuer und beginnt wieder Vertrauen zu sich selbst aufzubauen.
