Sal Manella arbeitet als Stellvertretender Regisseur bei den Global Studios und ist der Erfinder der Serie »The Steel Samurai: Warrior of Neo Olde Tokyo«. Er ist der Produzentin Dee Vasquez direkt unterstellt und es stört ihn auch nicht, dass diese ihn wie Dreck behandelt. Später sagt er vor Gericht sogar gegen Will Powers aus.
Er stellt einen stereotypischen Nerd dar, der in seiner eigenen Welt zu leben scheint. Das wird vor allem dadurch deutlich, dass er in seine normale Sprache ständig Internet Memes einbaut und oft sogar in »L33T« redet.

Er hilft seiner Vorgesetzten die Beweise für den Mord zu beseitigen und das ganze auf Will zu schieben. Auch seine Aussagen vor Gericht sind gelogen.
