Shizuru hatte es in ihrer Kindheit nicht immer einfach, auch wenn ihr Familienleben eigentlich nicht besser hätte sein können, zerstörte sie dieses vollkommen unbewusst von selbst. Schuld daran waren ihre besonderen Kräfte, die sie einfach nicht unter Kontrolle hatte und damit sich sowie ihre Eltern unglücklich machte. Bei der Organisation Guardian fand Shizuru schließlich einen Unterschlupf, auch wenn ihre Eltern sie zunächst dorthin verkauften.
