Simone d'Arc ist die rebellische Tochter einer berühmten Schauspielerin, die sie, weil sie ihr zu anstrengend war und wegen ihrer Karriere, in ein Internat abschob. Simone raucht und trinkt und treibt sich die ganze Nacht in Bars herum. Vom ersten Augenblick an scheint sie es auf ihre neue Zimmergenossin Resine abgesehen zu haben und lässt sie ihre Verachtung und ihren Hochmut spüren. Erstaunlicherweise vergehen ihre anfänglichen Zankereien jedoch schnell und sie kommen bemerkenswert gut miteinander aus – zu gut – und sie kommen sich immer näher. Als sie gemeinsam in einem Schultheaterstück auftreten küssen sie sich und dieser Kuss ist nicht gespielt …
