Momos größte Leidenschaft sind Mangas. Diese zu lesen und ihre eigenen Mangas zu zeichnen, gehören zu ihren liebsten Beschäftigungen und fesseln sie sogar so sehr, dass sie dabei alles andere um sich herum vergisst. In der schiffseigenen Zeitung ‒ die sie größtenteils selbst anfertigt ‒ veröffentlicht sie auch einen fortlaufenden Manga, der bei den anderen Besatzungsmitgliedern sehr beliebt zu sein scheint.
