Mary Saotome ist eine Schülerin der Hyakkaou Private Academy und eine Klassenkameradin von Yumeko Jabami und Ryouta Suzui. Sie war die erste Person, die gegen Yumeko gespielt hat. Am Anfang machte sie einen sehr sadistischen und zwielichtigen Eindruck, da sie – zu dem Zeitpunkt – noch eine der reichsten Personen an der Schule war.

Nachdem sie alles an Yumeko verloren hatte, zeigte sich eine ganz andere Seite an ihr. Ihre vorher sehr arrogante und grausame Persönlichkeit verschwand – dadurch war sie plötzlich eine deutlich vernünftigere Person, die offener für »Ziegen« war.
