Jinzai Tsukumo ist ein überaus talentierter Programmierer, der jedoch vor einiger Zeit spurlos verschwand. Als vermehrt die manifestierten Computerviren Daemon auftauchen, vermutet Misa Anehara, dass der verschwundene Jinzai dahinter steckt und versucht ihn ausfindig zu machen.
Misa findet Jinzai, der nun abgeschieden in einem kleinen Tempel lebt und sich komplett aus dem Programmiererleben zurückgezogen hat. Er selbst hat mit der Erschaffung der Daemon nichts zu tun, sondern manipulierte nur Misas Computerprogramm Christmas Shopper, das damals einen riesigen Wirrwarr verursacht hatte.
