Shingo Midou ist der Abteilungsleiter für Unternehmensstrategien in der Firma Yotsuba. Nebenbei leitet er eine Tochtergruppe der Yotsuba. Er nimmt ebenfalls wie Reiji an den sogenannten »Todeskonferenzen« teil. Shingo selbst stammt aus einem besseren Elternhaus und überzeugt durch seine Sozialkompetenz. Bei den Konferenzen agiert er meist zurückhaltend und hofft auf einen weiteren Vorteil in Sachen Karriere. Kiras Taten sind ihm nicht mehr geheuer und so lässt seine Loyalität gegenüber Kira im Laufe der Zeit nach und er verlässt die Gruppe.
