Koharu ist eine Schülerin, die zu Beginn ihrer Oberschulzeit einem Klub beitreten möchte. Da sie sich nicht entscheiden kann, landet sie nach einer Einladung der Leiterin in einer nicht offiziellen Gemeinschaft. Die Aktivitäten dieses Tesaguri-Klubs bestehen darin, sich neue Klubs bzw. alternative Formen bestehender Klubs auszudenken. Nach anfänglicher Zurückhaltung freundet sie sich schnell mit den anderen Mitgliedern an und verbringt ihre Freizeit mit ihnen. Von ihnen bekommt sie auch den Spitznamen „Koharun“.
