Yumaiosu ist ein Außerirdischer vom Planeten Zotra, dessen Bewohner blaue Haut, weißes Haar, spitze Ohren und katzenähnliche Augen besitzen. Er ist der große Bruder von Yumi und wird zusammen mit ihr und Telemachus von Odysseus vor dem Zyklopen gerettet. Yumaiosu wird, ebenso wie die Besatzung der Ulyxes, von den Göttern für das Verhalten von Odysseus bestraft. Im Gegensatz zum Rest der Besatzung kann er zweimal auf der Reise wiedererweckt werden und Odysseus unterstützen.
