Die verstorbene Mutter von Konata, die dieser bis auf einige wenige Merkmale wie aus dem Gesicht geschnitten ist. Kanata war eine Kindheitsfreundin von Konatas Vater Soujirou und es war für beide die Liebe ihres Lebens. Wie Konata sah auch Kanata viel jünger aus als sie es tatsächlich war, hatte jedoch im Gegensatz zu ihrer Tochter eine äußerst schwache Gesundheit, was schließlich auch zu ihrem frühen Tod führte.
