Hime ist die ältere Schwester von Sudachi. In dem Manga „The Daily Life of Crunchyroll-Hime“ spielt sie die Hauptrolle und gibt Einblicke in ihr Leben. Bei der Firma Crunchyroll ist sie das offizielle Maskottchen. Ihr Alter wird auf 18 Jahre geschätzt und ihr Lieblingsessen sind Donuts.

Hime hat auch kleine Cameoauftritte in einigen Anime. Darunter in der dritten Staffel der Wooser-Serie, dort ist sie in der Einleitung der siebten Episode zu sehen und bei Kemono Friends kommt sie beim Auftritt der Pinguine (Episode 8) im Publikum vor. Dort wird sie als Füchsin dargestellt, denn Hime wird oft durch ihre Haare, die einem Fuchsschwanz gleichen, als Fuchsgeist bezeichnet.

Die Figur entstand 2012 bei einem Wettbewerb bei dem Fans Maskottchen für Aniplex, FUNimation, NISA und Crunchyroll kreieren sollten. Einige Zeit später entwarf Crunchyroll zusammen mit dem japanischen Künstler Shiori Abe offizelle Key Arts nach dem Vorbild von Eunice Dahae Baik, die den Wettbewerb bei Crunchyroll gewann. Von 2013 bis 2018 haben über 50 Zeichner die Figur mitgestaltet. Darunter zum Beispiel: Boomslank, OMOcat und Hatsume Mika. 2017 entwarf die Künstlerin AOI Tsunami ein weiteres Key Art für Hime. Wenig später folgte 2018 ein Key Art von der Künstlerin Nashirasauce.
