Yuusaku Kitamura geht auf der High School in dieselbe Klasse wie Taiga Aisaka, Minori Kushieda und sein bester Freund Ryuuji Takasu. Brillenträger Yuusaku ist ein Organisationstalent und daher verwundert es nicht, dass er dem Schülerrat als Vize-Präsident angehört und damit Stellvertreter von Sumire Kanou ist - und selbstverständlich ist er auch Klassensprecher der 2-C. Zudem führt er als Kapitän die Jungen-Softball-Mannschaft der Schule an. Außer mit Ryuuji versteht sich der Musterschüler auch recht gut mit Minori und Taiga, nicht ahnend, dass letztere in ihn verschossen ist.
