Die Sandkatze lebt in der Wüstenarea des Japari-Parks. Sie flieht vor einem Sandsturm und stößt dabei mit dem Bus zusammen. Serval und Tasche helfen ihr beim aufstehen. Die Sandkatze ist überwältigt vom Bus. Um Schutz vor dem Sandsturm zu suchen, schlägt sie vor ihre Höhle aufzusuchen und einen Geheimpfad zu nutzen.

Der lateinische Name der Sandkatzen ist Felis margarita, es gehört zur Gattung der Raubtiere und zur Familie der Katzen.
