Jean, Beni, Alison und Min sind vier gute Freundinnen am Internat Lycée de Cinq Fléches und nehmen Mins neue Zimmergenossin Saya auch recht schnell in ihren Kreis auf. Sie stehen zwar nicht in offener Opposition zur arroganten Anna-Marie und deren Clique, stellen aber mit ihrer ungezwungenen Art einen gewissen Gegenpol zu ihr dar, so dass sich Saya auch gleich heimisch fühlt und sogar beinahe ihren eigentlichen Auftrag vergisst. Alison ist Halb-Vietnamesin und hat ein fröhliches, aber etwas zurückhaltenderes Gemüt als Min oder Jean.
