Natsuru träumt von einer Karriere als Profifußballer. Er geht mit Rio in eine Klasse, aber er beachtet sie kaum. Bei ihm ist es aber auch nicht besser, seitdem er kurz nach dem Schulwechsel einer beliebten Klassenkameradin einen Korb gegeben hat. Nun bleibt ihm nur noch der Fußballclub und sein Trainer Okada, doch der wird durch einen Trainer aus der oberen Liga ersetzt. Der neue Trainer ist sehr streng zu ihm. Natsuru wünscht sich seinen alten pensionierten Trainer zurück.
Zufällig findet er einen Kater unter einer Brücke, durch dem er näher an Rio kommt. Wenig später möchte sein neuer Trainer mit dem Club zu einem Trainingscamp fahren. Natsuru entscheidet sich aber dagegen und macht blau. Im Park trifft er dabei auf Rio und kommt bei ihr Zuhause unter. Schließlich verliebt er sich in seine Klassenkameradin und findet ein schweres Familiengeheimnis heraus.
