Kyouko ist die beste Freundin von Sakura. Auch sie weiß nichts von Sakuras großem Geheimnis, denn die temperamentvolle, aber auch zärtliche, Kyouko hängt sehr an ihrer Freundin. Sakura weiß dies sehr zu schätzen und möchte Kyouko nicht verletzen, wenn sie es wüsste, würde es ihre normale Freundschaft zerstören. Alles würde anders werden und Kyouko sehr traurig machen. Als sie mitbekommt, dass Sakura mit Haruki viel Zeit verbringt wird die eigentlich freundliche Kyouko wütend. Sie kann nicht verstehen was Sakura an dem gefühltskalten Haruki findet. Wie in bissiger Hund möchte sie ihre Freundin vor dem großen Unheil bewahren. Haruki ist für sie kein guter Umgang für Sakura.
