Obwohl Carlos die meiste Zeit schlafend verbringt, nehmen ihn seine alten Kampfgefährten Carlos, Jose und Barrio überall hin mit, meistens auf dem Rücken von letzterem, weil er einfach zum Team gehört und die gealterten Armor-Piloten dazu neigen, in der Vergangenheit zu schwelgen. Sie binden ihn auch in ihre Gespräche ein, obwohl er davon überhaupt nichts hört; wenn er jedoch einmal wach wird, zeigt sich, dass er doch manches mitbekommen haben muss, es aber meist als einen Traum interpretiert. Auf jeden Fall hat er von der Gruppe den größten technischen Durchblick und war, als er noch ein junger Springinsfeld war, wohl auch der Ingenieur unter der Besatzung der fünfteiligen Armor »El Dorado«.
