Bis zu seinem Tod war der Vater von Thor und Rai, Theo Klein, als Wissenschaftler tätig, der unter den Menschen und seinen Kollegen sehr anerkannt gewesen ist und als Freund des Ministerpräsidenten der Weltraumkolonie Juno, Odin, einigen Einfluss besaß. Er versuchte stets seinen beiden Söhnen alles zu lehren, was er für wichtig hielt und weckte so auch das große Interesse seitens Thor an der Erde.
