Kyobate Kenji ist Katsuragi Makis Vater und der Ex-Mann von Katsuragi Aya.

Persönlichkeit und Fakten:
Kenji ist aggressiv und bedroht seine Familie. Ihm sind alle Mittel recht, um an deren Geld zu kommen. Seine Wut geht so weit, dass er seinen Sohn schlägt und eines Tages seinen Softtennisschläger zerbrach.

Geschichte:

Kenji betritt regelmäßig die Wohnung von Aya und Maki. Dort findet er ein mit Geld gefülltes Kuvert vor, das von Aya auf den Tisch gelegt wird. Sobald dieses verschwunden ist, weiß Aya, dass Kenji es mitgenommen hatte und bereitet ein neues Kuvert vor. Sie weiß aber nicht, dass Maki davon Wind bekommen hat und das Kuvert immer versteckt. Kenji findet es aber dennoch immer. Der Zorn auf seinen Vater wächst fortwährend. Dass Maki und seine Mutter erst kürzlich umgezogen sind, konnte das Problem nicht lösen. Kenji muss nämlich nur zur Behörde gehen und nach dem Aufenthaltsort seines Sohnes fragen.
